The HydroSAM is designed to replace older water quality monitoring systems that draw samples through a network of pipes which feed a series of in-line sensors. HydroSAM has been designed for minimum maintenance and long-term deployment. The heart of the HydroSAM is a multiparameter probe known as a ‘sonde’, thousands of which are in use all over the world as in situ water quality loggers in both freshwater and marine applications.

YSI HydroSAM provides reliable data whilst reducing on site visits
The HydroSAM is a complete Sampling and Monitoring water quality station providing continuous data from a compact system measuring parameters such as optical dissolved oxygen, pH, turbidity, conductivity, chlorophyll, blue/green algae, ammonia / ammonium and temperature.
Employing the latest wiped multiparameter technology, the YSI HydroSAM is able to lower the costs associated with running traditional on-line analysers by reducing maintenance visits and on-site time.
Available either in a complete industrial GRP enclosure or wall mounted for installation within an existing building, the YSI HydroSAM is ideal for monitoring of raw water intakes, treated wastewater or receiving waters.
Continuous Monitoring
Water is pushed into the monitoring system by a submersible pummp that can also be provided to backflush preventing biofouling build up.
Water is continuously provided to the adjustable flowcell in which all of the sensors are exposed to the sample. The sensors are all contained within one compact sonde that provides a number of important advantages:
Data Management
HydroSAM can be configured to either interface direct to SCADA using eight scaleable 4-20mA outputs or MODBUS or to log internally and transmit data via GSM or radioto a central base station. Data can be transmitted at user-defined frequencies and both local and host alarm conditions can be set so that the system can isse alerts when neccessary.
